Returns & Refunds Policy

Last updated: 18th September 2026

At Andy J Hardwick Art, we want you to love your order. If something isn't right, we'll do our best to resolve it quickly and fairly.

This Returns & Refunds Policy explains your rights to cancel an order, return products and request a refund or replacement.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

1. About Us

2. Standard Products – Your Right to Cancel

If you are a UK consumer purchasing an eligible standard product online, you will normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without having to provide a reason.

This applies to eligible standard Andyjhardwickart.co.uk products, subject to the exclusions explained below.

Importantly, the fact that some print products are manufactured using print-on-demand (POD) production does not, by itself, mean that your statutory right to cancel is removed.

To exercise your right to cancel, you must tell us clearly that you wish to cancel within the applicable cancellation period.

Please contact:

info@Andyjhardwickart.co.uk

Please include your:

  • Name;
  • Order number;
  • Email address used for the order; and
  • Product or products you wish to return.

We will then provide appropriate return instructions.

3. Returning an Order After Cancellation

After notifying us that you wish to cancel an eligible order, you should return the goods promptly and within the applicable statutory return period.

Unless the product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or we agree otherwise, you will normally be responsible for the direct cost of returning the product to us.

Please do not send a return directly to a print-on-demand manufacturer or fulfilment partner unless we specifically instruct you to do so.

Different products may be fulfilled from different locations, so always contact us first for the correct return instructions.

4. Condition of Returned Products

You may inspect a product as you reasonably would if examining it in a physical shop.

Products should, where reasonably possible, be returned:

  • Unused;
  • In good condition; and
  • With original packaging, labels or tags where applicable.

You are responsible for taking reasonable care of the product while it is in your possession.

Where permitted by law, we may reduce a refund to reflect a reduction in the value of a product caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

5. Personalised and Custom-Made Products

Some AndyJhardwick.co.uk products may be personalised, customised or produced specifically to your requirements.

Examples could include products incorporating:

  • A commissioned painiting
  • Pet Portraits

Your statutory right to change your mind and cancel may not apply where goods are made to your specifications or are clearly personalised.

For this reason, personalised or bespoke products cannot normally be returned simply because you have changed your mind.

This does not affect your rights if a personalised product is:

  • Faulty;
  • Damaged;
  • Otherwise not of satisfactory quality

6. Approval of Personalised Designs

Where we provide a digital proof, artwork proof or other design for your approval before production, you are responsible for checking it carefully.

Please check:

  • Names and spelling;
  • Wording;
  • Dates where applicable;
  • Image selection;
  • Design positioning; and
  • Other personalised information.

Once you approve a proof and the product enters production, we may be unable to make further changes.

If we manufacture the product correctly according to an approved proof, an error contained in the information or design approved by you will not normally be treated as a manufacturing defect.

This does not affect your statutory rights where the product supplied does not correspond with the approved design or is otherwise faulty.

7. Print-on-Demand Products

Many andyjhardwickart.co.uk prints and wall art may be manufactured specifically after an order is received using print-on-demand production.

A standard, non-personalised product does not automatically become exempt from statutory cancellation rights simply because it is manufactured after an order is placed.

However, genuinely personalised or bespoke POD products may fall within the legal exception for goods made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised.

8. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, incorrect or significantly different from its description, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:

info@Andyjhardwickart.co.uk

Please provide:

  • Your name;
  • Order number;
  • A description of the problem; and
  • Clear photographs showing the product and the problem where reasonably possible.

Photographs are particularly helpful for products that have been damaged during manufacturing or delivery, as they allow us to investigate the issue with our production or delivery partner.

We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include:

  • A replacement;
  • Repair where appropriate;
  • A price reduction; or
  • A full or partial refund.

9. Print Quality and Manufacturing Variations

We work to ensure that andyjhardwickart.co.uk products accurately represent our artwork.

However, minor differences can occur between a digital image displayed on a screen and a physical printed product.

These can arise because of:

  • Screen calibration;
  • Device display settings;
  • Printing processes;
  • Different materials or fabrics;
  • Product dimensions;
  • Manufacturing tolerances; or
  • Minor variations in print positioning.

Small variations that are inherent to the manufacturing process and do not materially affect the quality, appearance or intended use of the product will not necessarily constitute a fault.

Significant printing errors, manufacturing defects, incorrect products or material discrepancies from the product description will be dealt with appropriately.

10. Return Shipping Costs

For a standard change-of-mind return, you will normally be responsible for the direct cost of returning the product unless we state otherwise.

If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to your statutory rights, we will deal with reasonable return costs in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Please contact us before returning a faulty or damaged product so that we can provide the appropriate instructions.

11. Proof of Return

Where you are responsible for returning an item, we recommend obtaining proof of postage or using an appropriate tracked delivery service.

Please retain your proof of return until your refund or return has been completed.

12. Refunds

Where you validly cancel an eligible order and a refund is due, we will refund the amounts required by applicable consumer law.

This will normally include the price paid for the returned product and, where legally required, the applicable standard outbound delivery charge.

If you selected a more expensive delivery method than our standard delivery option, we are not normally required to refund the additional cost above the standard delivery charge.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you provide evidence that you have sent them back, where permitted by law.

13. How Refunds Are Paid

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase unless otherwise agreed or permitted.

Once we issue a refund, your bank, card provider or payment service may require additional processing time before the funds appear in your account.

We do not control your payment provider's processing times.

16. Exchanges

Because many andyjhardwickart.co.uk products are manufactured using print-on-demand production, we may not always be able to offer a traditional exchange service.

Where you wish to change the size, colour or product selected, please contact:

info@Andyjhardwickart.co.uk

We will explain the options available for your particular order.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

17. Lost Orders

If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery period, please contact us at:

info@Andyjhardwickart.co.uk

Please provide your order number and delivery details.

We will investigate the delivery with the relevant courier, postal service or fulfilment partner.

Please allow reasonable time for us to investigate before a replacement or refund is issued.

18. Incorrect Delivery Information

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address when placing your order.

If you realise that you have provided incorrect delivery information, please contact us immediately.

If production or dispatch has not started, we will make reasonable efforts to amend the details.

Once an order has entered fulfilment or has been dispatched, we may not be able to change the delivery address.

Where an order cannot be delivered because incorrect or incomplete information was supplied by you, additional delivery or replacement costs may apply where legally permitted.

19. Cancelling Before Production or Dispatch

If you wish to cancel an order shortly after placing it, contact us immediately at:

info@Andyjhardwickart.co.uk

If production has not begun, we will make reasonable efforts to stop the order.

For personalised or custom-made products, once production has started we may be unable to cancel the order because the product is being manufactured specifically for you.

Your statutory rights concerning faulty or non-conforming products remain unaffected.

20. How to Request a Return

To request a return, refund or replacement, contact:

info@Andyjhardwickart.co.uk

Please include:

Name:
Order number:
Email address used for the order:
Product:
Reason for contacting us:
Replacement or refund requested:
Photographs: If the product is damaged, faulty or incorrect.

We will review your request and provide the appropriate next steps.

Please do not return products without first contacting us, as print-on-demand products may require different return arrangements depending on where they were manufactured.

21. Your Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Returns & Refunds Policy is intended to exclude, restrict or replace your statutory rights.

UK consumers have legal rights in relation to goods that are faulty, not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose or not as described.

Your rights may differ depending on the circumstances and how long you have owned the product.

22. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Returns & Refunds Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our products, fulfilment arrangements, business practices or applicable law.

The latest version will be published on andyjhardwickart.co.uk, together with the date it was last updated.
